April 15, 2008. Alexander Malyshev is calling Gennady Petrov to discuss Vitaly Izguilov, Viktor Gavrilenkov and Sergey Kuzmin.
As for Petrov’s activity, officially a professional boxer, Petrov is presented as just a high rank Russian businessman and even an FSB agent, close to Russian leadership, by his lawyers and some media.
Gennady Petrov is one of the main suspects of money laundering and a criminal gang’s involvement – Troika case – and is being wanted by Spain.

Also crossbow for shooting at live targets was seized during searches (see indictment on the TBCA). At Petrov’s office of Petrodin company cash in plastic bags was found on February 9, 1993. However, during the trial victims of raids by Malyshev and Petrov changed their testimonies, only Malyshev was convicted for illegal weapon’s possession, Petrov was acquitted. Former Petrov’s associate, Japanese gambling businessman said that Petrov paid a bribe.
