Shakro-Kalashov Case: Tapes 4

The reference is to the operative wiretapping (“surveillance by means of audiofixation”). The wiretapping took place between 23 December 2015 and 15 July 2016. This is evidence in the case of corruption in the Investigative Committee of Russia: high ranking officials were accused of acting in favor of the mobster, Zakhar Kalasov (aka Shakro Molodoi). In 2010, Shakro Molodoi was convicted in Spain and sentenced to nine years in prison and fined over $22 million for money laundering and racketeering. During detention in the United Arab Emirates in 2006, Shakro was with Sergey Mikhailov (aka Mikhas (Solntsevo)).

In October 2014, he was expelled to Russia where he was sentenced in March 2018 to nine years and ten months in prison for extortion.

Transcripts of operational wiretapping of members of the Investigative Committee of Russia — Mikhail Maksimenko and his deputy Aleksandr Lamonov. According to the investigation conducted by the FSB, they, as well as Denis Nikandrov, deputy head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee in Moscow, in exchange of money, promised to release from jail two partners of the mobster, Zakhar Kalashov (aka Shakro Molodoy): Andrei Kochuykov (aka “Italian”) and Eduard Romanov. Both were arrested in December 2015 after a firefight in the center of Moscow. For more details, see: https://www.rbc.ru/politics/08/08/2016/57a22b469a79474f02768326 (Russian)

  • LAMONOV Aleksandr Nikolaevich, Head of the Directorate for Internal Affairs (GUMVSB);
  • (possibly) KIRYUKHIN Sergei Vladimirovich, Deputy Head of the Directorate for Internal Affairs (GUMVSB).
