Audio recording: Andrei Nikonov and Gennady Petrov

Recording presented in court during the Spanish Troika criminal case — on the sentence, see elsewhere in the present TBCA — in an attempt to prove traffic of influence by one of the Tambov criminal gang leaders with the Russian government. On December 11, 2007, at 17:35, Andrei Nikonov, aka “Begemot” (“Hippopotamus”), is calling Gennady Petrov to discuss changes in the Russian government; see conversation B21 in the summary (Spanish). Nikonov and Petrov mention Vladimir Putin as “ours” and, at the same time, that “everything is decided by one person”. And, anyway, Putin won’t remain Prime Minister for long — they are sure that he will come back as President soon.
